Day-Guiding FAQ’S

  • Our goal is to provide the best experience possible for you, so there is no set schedule. You have our local guide and transportation to use as you wish. If the snow is incredible, you’ll likely want to ski all day. If you’re sore from several days of skiing, maybe you’d like to have a slow start, take a few runs in the morning, and then venture to a hot spring deep in the mountains. Or go to a special sushi restaurant out of town? Be at the right place at the right time. This flexibility and freedom are unique to Kazan Japan Travel’s program.

  • Open to all ability levels! Please let us know during booking.

  • Of course! All are welcome and you can design your group. However, we recommend trying to match the ability level of all participants for the best experience. Perfect for families and groups of friends.

  • We highly recommend having travel insurance that covers winter sports activities with a guide. If you plan on going into the backcountry (including out of the Niseko resort’s gate system) make sure your insurance covers this as well. For details on insurance and liability, please see our terms and conditions

  • All guests are required to have an avalanche safety kit (backpack, shovel, transceiver, probe) if going outside of the resort-managed areas. This includes outside of the Niseko resort’s gate system. If you do not have your own gear please let us know and we will help arrange it. It is available to rent for 5,500 JPY per person per day.
